HEALTH ISSUES FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN Before you start reading about health issues for your children, please take a moment to consider your own well-being. I know, like all parents, you have a big red S on your chest. But can you really trust to luck that your child will be provided for if something happens to you?
We both know all the excuses for not getting insurance, and we both know they are just that: excuses. I'll stay off the soap box if you'll take just a moment to seriously consider each of the following for just a moment:
1. Who takes care of them if you can't work ? You don't have to be dead to be incapacitated. Consider both health and income protection insurance. And don't forget, regular check-ups by your doctor are still the best preventative.
2. If the worst should happen, who looks after your loved ones? If the tragedy of 911 taught us anything, it should be an awareness that disaster can happen with a chilling suddenness. A will is not just for old people. You might also consider a living will while you're at it.
3. Monkey see, monkey do. Right now, for better or worse, you are a god to your child. You can preach till you are blue in the face, but the example you set will always speak louder. So, unless you want your child to grow up with your bad habits, maybe you want to consider giving them up.
Now that we've got that out of the way, lets go to KIDS HEALTH.
